As a mum you had me in the first sentence Sophie. I don't envy young mums and that barrage of unrealistic ideals the 'mummy blogger' influencers spew at every opportunity. Facebook was really only just becoming a thing when my kids were babies and I don't think Insta existed. I am grateful for my age in that respect.

I agree that the identities we see people performing on these platforms can be really detrimental, especially if we are in a vulnerable state. I think your blog is really honest and your story relatable to many. I value your decision to be transparent online as I have often wished people would be more real. I don't know if there is any, but I think if you included some references to studies or research on the impact of unrealistic ideals and pressures on mothers to be or appear perfect that would be a great addition to your argument.
